Job Summary | The Lally School of Management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute seeks applications for a tenure-track (or tenured) faculty position at the Associate Professor level in Business Analytics/Supply Chain Management starting Fall 2024. Candidates must have a PhD degree from an accredited university in Analytics, Operations Research, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field, along with demonstrated evidence to produce original and innovative scholarly work with publications in premier business journals. The successful candidate will join the School either as a tenure-track assistant professor, or as an associate professor, based on teaching and research experience and success. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated potential and commitment to effective teaching in our graduate and undergraduate degree programs in supply chain and business analytics, as well as provide service to the School of Management and to Rensselaer. The position requires excellence in research in the area of supply chain and analytics, effective written communication skills, and strong technical skills in areas such as analytical modeling, data management, machine learning and computation. Demonstrated interest in emerging technologies including artificial intelligence and Blockchain and in topics relevant to global shifts in supply chains would be a plus. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage with and develop research initiatives aligned both within the Lally School and with the new strategic research initiatives at Rensselaer. Established in 1907, Electrical Engineering at Rensselaer is one of the first in the country. ECSE alumni have contributed to the information and digital revolution by inventing the digital camera, the microprocessor, the graphics processor, power electronics, electronic mail, and more. Job Summary | The Department of Physics, Applied Physics, and Astronomy at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the field of Quantum Computing, Quantum Information, and Quantum Technology, with focus on the fundamental aspects or applications of quantum computation, scalability, and error correction on current and future quantum computing devices. Research areas can include but not limited to quantum entanglement, decoherence, and noise in quantum networks, with applications to quantum cryptography, quantum encryption, and secure quantum communications in noisy environments. Possible related areas would also include studying and exploiting the fundamental connections between Quantum Monte Carlo and Quantum Computing, simulating quantum field theory and many-body theory with a quantum computer (in particular, simulating systems with a “sign” problem), quantum communication networks, exotic quantum dynamics, quantum sensing protocols, exotic quantum phases of matter, and theory on the nature of information at the quantum level. With the anticipated of arrival of the IBM Quantum System One on our campus, this hire will have access to explore and implement some of these challenging problems. This hire would be part of a bold effort at RPI to strengthen and extend our current faculty cluster in Quantum Information, and would interact with our current faculty on quantum optics and photon entanglement, quantum field-theory, quantum fluctuations in networks, as well as with researchers from Computer Science, ECSE, Future of Computing Institute, and with the future hires of the recently announced Quantum Constellation. The position also represents a response to federal priorities expressed in the National Quantum Initiative Act. The successful candidate will establish/maintain and externally funded research program, participate in collaborative, multi-investigator research and research training initiatives, and contribute to the high impact teaching program in the Department of Physics, Applied Physics, and Astronomy. Postdoctoral research experience and a strong early record of publication in leading journals is preferred. Job Summary | The Department of Cognitive Science in the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute invites applicants for a non-tenure track position in the Psychological Science program starting in Fall 2024. Job Summary | The Department of Science & Technology Studies (STS) in the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute seeks a tenure track/tenured Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor specializing in Community Engagement and Community-Based Research and whose research and teaching is grounded in Science and Technology Studies (STS). Job Summary | Endowed Constellation Faculty in Future Chips at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute We are especially interested in candidates who have a demonstrated ability to perform high impact research in semiconductor technology to address the next generation challenges in computing. Natural systems and environmental geochemistry, global change, critical zone science, soil science, environmental mineralogy. Compensation
The annual salary range this position is $100,000 - $115,000. The Youth Assertive Community Treatment team (ACT) Program is an innovative treatment program. The program serves children with mental illness or serious emotional disturbance and their families. You will report to the Director of Youth Act and work onsite with community-based travel required.

- Engage individuals and establish trusting, collaborative relationships directed toward the goals clients identify on their treatment plans

Compensation
The annual salary range this position is $80,000.00-$90,000.00. As a Teacher in Training, you will be responsible for development of classroom instructional plans for students and support student's success in academic and behavioral goals. You will report to the Principal and work on-site.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a classroom instructional plan based on a students IEP and grade and subject area curricula; work with content area teachers to ensure that their lessons are differentiated as to meet the needs of all students.

- Administration: Maintains a neat and orderly office environment, befitting a space used as a student resource center. Publishes and maintains an accurate directory of all ResEd staff. Coordinates and/or initiates calendar scheduling as requested; makes sure meeting attendees know the location or zoom link. Supports and implements logistics for ResEd programs and events (ex. catering, space reservations, set-up/tear down). VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF ANTHROPOLOGY
Union College (Schenectady, New York) seeks applicants for a one-year visiting position at the assistant professor level. We seek socio-cultural candidates who can teach courses on environmental anthropology and who would also be able to offer courses in some of the following areas: indigeneity, environmental justice, economic anthropology, Science and Technology Studies, Religion and Environmentalism, anthropology of food, and global health. Supervisor: Chief Information Officer
Position Purpose:Manages the Client Services and Learning Environments team, handling both personnel and financial aspects. Leads support for students, faculty, and staff by evaluating technical issues and collaborating with ITS (Information Technology Services) peers to implement effective solutions. Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Business Administration, and a minimum of 5 years of successful management experience in a service-oriented technology environment, and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience. Master’s degree preferred.
- Proficient in Windows and Apple client hardware and operating systems.
- Proven experience implementing performance metrics for operational analysis and decision-making purposes.
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on coaching and mentoring.
- Demonstrated experience with IT service management, including overseeing a help desk ticketing system; experience with TeamDynamix preferred.

Position Purpose: Plays a crucial role in supporting students and faculty in the Geosciences department by assisting with field trips, laboratory exercises, instrument operation and maintenance, and classroom material preparation. This includes managing field equipment, coordinating off-campus activities, operating and maintaining instrumentation (mass spectrometers and chromatographs), managing supplies, and aiding in laboratory setup and sample preparation. Training available for all tasks. Department instrumentation includes a laser ablation inductively coupled mass spectrometer, ion chromatographs, a scanning electron microscope, and an isotope ratio mass spectrometer with peripherals. Department is busy, energetic, and friendly. Flexible hours possible.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Class Field and Lab Support: Coordinates with faculty to prepare/pack required field equipment and/or supplies for field excursions. Assists faculty with setup and breakdown of classroom laboratory specimens/equipment. Communicates with facilities for any repairs and maintenance that are required in geoscience labs or classrooms. Maintains, orders and upgrades field equipment as necessary. Drive field vehicle and assist with activities for selected student exercises.
- Geochemistry Instrumentation Operation and Maintenance: Assists with operating instrumentation (mass spectrometers, chromatographs, titrator, etc.). Prepares samples and standards analysis, assists faculty operating and maintaining instrumentation in both the stable isotope and ICP-MS geochemistry laboratories. Will be trained to operate the Stable Isotope Mass Spectrometer, ICP-MS, Ion Chromatographs, Metrohm auto-titrator, and Picarro CRDS. Maintains online chemical inventory along with safety data sheets and ensures proper use of inventory tracking systems. Performs routine maintenance of instruments (e.g. change oil, clean parts, change gas bottles, arrange for waste disposal). Troubleshoots and repairs instrumentation when possible and/or arrange consultations with appropriate personnel at the college or outside vendors. Maintain inventories of gasses/supplies for all teaching and research labs. Order gasses, and other supplies for the Geosciences Department and distribute to their destinations.
- Laboratory Work: Maintains Geosciences department shop, weather station, and tool area. Makes polished thin-sections and grain mounts for use in lab exercises and research projects. Repairs and maintains rock, mineral, and sediment sample processing equipment. Prepares specimens (mineral boxes, test kits, fossils) for class exercises.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Geosciences or related fields. Three years relevant experience, or Masters in Geosciences or related fields preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license to assist faculty with outdoor field exercises, including driving vans.
- Demonstrated understanding of geological principles.

Position Purpose: Oversees and directs the operations, vision, and programs for Greek life at Union College by facilitating an environment where members of the Greek community can be challenged and supported in their personal growth, efforts, and experiences. - Greek Community Development & Engagement: Creates a vibrant, welcoming, and inclusive environment for Greek organizations. Manages and supervises the activities of and provides guidance to various National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sororities, North American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) fraternities, National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO) organizations as well as local/unaffiliated organizations. Coordinates recruitment/intake and the annual review processes for all student Greek letter organizations. Designs and implements leadership development programs for the Greek community, including programming in the areas of risk management, membership recruitment/intake and education; problem resolution, and community planning.
- Supervision: Supervises the Community Director for Greek Houses. Indirectly supervises Greek house managers and part-time party monitors. Guides and supports the community director and student staff community development efforts, including the implementation of curricular engagement guides and corresponding assessments.
- Student Health and Safety: Monitors and intervenes with students who may be struggling academically and/or with other behavioral and developmental issues. Refers accordingly to services as needed. Participates in regular professional staff on-call rotation, providing crisis intervention and serving as a resource or referral agent. Understands and enforces Code of Student Conduct and other policies regarding behavior, safety, security, health, and other matters in cooperation with the appropriate offices. Serves as a campus judicial hearing officer. Participates in CARE team meetings and provides culturally responsive support to students.
- Collaboration: Builds relationships with alumni, donors, and other stakeholders to advance the Greek Life program and support its mission. Works in collaboration with designated staff in College Relations to interface with fraternity and sorority alumni. Serves as the liaison to national organizations, chapter advisors, and other College departments.
- Administration: Holds regular office hours to address student and staff needs. Manages the budget for the Greek Life department, allocating resources to support programming, events, and operational expenses. Attends campus community events. Serves on college committees as assigned. Assists with administrative office duties. Offers to pitch in to help colleagues during crunch times and overlapping deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration or related field and 3-5 years of student affairs experience or equivalent, and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience. - Compliance: Facilitates compliance with all procedures, requirements and timeframes outlined in the College’s Title IX Policy, Gender-based Misconduct Policy, and the Policy Prohibiting Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation in Employment. Leads an effort to review and revise policies in response to changes in governing laws, regulations, and guidance. Reviews and compiles reports in compliance with federal and state law and to identify and address any patterns or systemic problems of reports of harassment and misconduct within the College community. Completes annual assessment report of progress to goals.
- Process Oversight: Oversees and coordinates investigations, responses, and resolutions to complaints under the Title IX Policy, the Gender-based Misconduct Policy, and the Policy Prohibiting Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation in Employment. Assures that investigation and resolution processes are conducted in a fair, timely, impartial, respectful, and thorough manner.
- Collaboration & Partnership: Collaborates with colleagues in Student Affairs and Human Resources to identify topics, design and deliver student and employee training including compliance content training (e.g. NCAA Title IX requirements, new student orientation requirements, student training pursuant to New York Education Law Article 129-B, etc.). Coordinates with local organizations and service providers to ensure our community members have access to confidential resources. Manages partnerships with other external agencies with which the College has a partnership in executing its responsibilities under Title IX and other applicable laws and regulations.
- Supervision: Selects, trains, assigns and oversees designated roles including Deputy Title IX Coordinators, investigators, adjudication panel members, appellate panel members and advisors; ensures all are adequately trained in compliance with federal and New York State law.
Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in a related field such as human resources, law, social justice, higher education administration or a relevant discipline and/or a Juris Doctorate, and a minimum of three years of experience in equal opportunity compliance, Title IX administration, or a related field, preferably in a higher education or nonprofit organizational setting.
- Extensive experience working on compliance with Title IX, Title VII, ADA, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Section 504 and related regulatory requirements.
- Certification and/or training as required by federal and New York State law to serve in the position, or ability to obtain such certification and training prior to commencement of employment.
- Demonstrated expertise in federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to equal opportunity, affirmative action, discrimination and harassment, including comprehensive knowledge of Title VII, Title IX, the Clery Act, New York State Education Law Article 129-B or similar state laws, and related guidance from the United States Department of Education and applicable state authorities.
- Ability to work outside of regular business hours when necessary.
- Demonstrated understanding and sensitivity towards experiences and expressions of trauma caused by sexual violence, discrimination and harassment.
- Strong presentation skills with an emphasis on education and training for a variety of constituencies.

Athletics Equipment Manager
Supervisor: Assistant Director of Athletics - Business Operations
Pay status and classification: Exempt, Regular full-time. This is a 12-month position.
Position Purpose: Oversees, organizes, and directs all aspects of the athletics equipment area in support of the mission and core values of Union College. Union College sponsors 26 intercollegiate sports, 24 in Division III, with Ice Hockey competing at Division I.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Operations: Manages the day to day services of the athletics equipment room. Coordinates laundry room operations with coaches to ensure needs are met. Maintains inventory for accurate equipment and apparel records. Oversees distribution, collection and maintenance of records. Collaborates with Hockey Equipment Manager to ensure successful oversight of services for programs.
- Safety: Ensures proper fitting and adjustment of equipment for intercollegiate programs to provide a safe environment for student-athletes. Ensures all equipment and apparel is ready for safe use and remains current with industry standards for safety. Successfully maintains Athletic Equipment Manager Association (AEMA) certification.
- Administration: Oversees the purchasing of equipment and apparel for intercollegiate sport programs. Collaborates with coaches for program needs, create purchase orders, projecting apparel and equipment budgets. Builds relationships with athletics vendors. Continually evaluates policies and procedures to ensure effectiveness of equipment room operations. Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates staff of work-study workers. Adheres to NCAA, College and athletic department policies. Pitches in to assist colleagues as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years of successful experience in athletics equipment operations and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience, including football and ice hockey.
- Knowledge of maintaining equipment for ice hockey and football to ensure safety.
- Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA certification) or the intent to complete the certification once eligible.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends for equipment operations at practices and games, which include home and away contests.
- Ability to lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.), and stand, bend and stoop for extended periods of time.
- Must possess or obtain a valid New York State driver’s license.
- Thorough understanding and working knowledge of federal, state, local, and NCAA, rules, policies and procedures.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including attention to detail.
- Effective computer skills for maintaining accurate records, budget forecasting and purchasing of equipment and apparel.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and be self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Able to exercise exceptional judgment, ensure strict confidentiality, and demonstrate outstanding professionalism in a range of situations.

Lecturer of Biomedical Engineering Position at Union College
The Department of Electrical, Computer and Biomedical Engineering at Union College invites applications for a Lecturer of Biomedical Engineering position, beginning Fall 2024. The position is renewable with a contract period of three years. After six years of employment at Union, Lecturers are eligible for promotion to Senior Lecturer with the possibility of contract lengths up to five years. A Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field is required. Candidates expecting to complete their doctoral thesis before September 2024 are also welcome to apply. Service duties will include coordinating the Summer Clinical Immersion Program with our local partners, advising our Biomedical Engineering Society student chapter, and coordinating the biomedical engineering seminar series. Although research is not an expectation of this position, the successful candidate will have the option to continue scholarly activity and will have access to College funds and a wide array of advanced instrumentation and facilities.
